No, dependants on the policy can only be your spouse and children.
What do I need to do if I want to add more employees to my scheme?
Send copies of your employee/family member’s passport and visa numbers with a photograph to AXA along with the payment (this amount will be the rate agreed at the time when the contract was signed) and they will be added to the scheme. Their membership pack will be received thereafter.
How long will AXA take to set up my company scheme, issue membership information and medical cards?
The period of time will very much depend on the size of your group and how promptly you are able to provide all the requested information, we advise a period between 5 to 7 working days, however, we recommend you speak with your Business Development Executive in order to confirm.
Will I be penalized if I go outside the AXA network?
No additional penalty is applicable if you go outside the AXA network buy we may not be able to settle the claim in full where the cost is higher than the usual and customary for your plan. Please note we may not always be able to arrange direct settlement facilities outside the network.
What is AXA’s position on vitamins and supplements?
AXA will not generally pay for the costs of vitamins and supplements even if prescribed by a medical practitioner. For instance we will not pay for vitamins when prescribed along with antibiotics. However there might be some instances whereby our medical board will accept to cover the costs of such vitamins and supplements where they consider it is medically necessary due to an underlying medical condition.
Will I be covered if I need a preventative test such as a Mammography?
AXA fully recognizes the long term importance of prevention and early diagnosis. Having this in mind a benefit for Health Screen is offered. Under the health screen benefit we will pay for consultations and related, prescribed and necessary, investigations up to the limit shown, where such treatment is not required to cure a medical condition but is received for the purpose of identification of a medical condition or potential medical condition through early diagnosis. This includes but is not limited to mammography, pap smear, prostate antigen test
Do I have to pay anything in advance when visiting a hospital or a clinic for treatment?
Apart from the deductible, you will not have to settle any bill in advance of a consultation or treatment on the basis that you visit a hospital or a clinic listed in the network available for your plan.
How can I ensure my employees understand the medical cover they have?
AXA Insurance will arrange a convenient time to come and visit your staff and present their medical plan; it’s a perfect time for any questions to be answered.
What do I need to do if I want to remove an employee from the scheme?
AXA Insurance must be informed as soon as possible about the deletion, the employee’s membership card must be returned to AXA. If the employee has not made any claims then your company will be reimbursed on a pro-rata basis.
When will I need to pay my deductible?
The deductible applies each time you visit a medical practitioner, so for every single consultation the deductible will be paid.
When setting up the scheme I would like to add my managers to the worldwide cover, can I add their dependants to the Regional Scheme?
No, all dependants must be on the same plan as the employee.
